Cruising in Nile is not unknown to the world, but sailing in Holy River Ganges is something completely authentic & different, as a matter of fact hardly any tourists coming to India know about it. The “Ganga” (or Ganges) is not only a Holy River, but is considered as a mother by a billion Hindus. The confluence of two holy rivers Ganga & Yamuna takes place in Allahabad, where the ashes of Mahatma Gandi was immersed.

Taj MahalOur sailing starts from Allahabad & we will sail for five days in a small local fishermen’s  “rowing boat” & spend the nights in tents on river banks. During the day while sailing there will be certain halts to enable us to visit the local villages in order to have a sight of the daily activities of the habitants. These villagers rarely come in contact with a tourist so the people are very friendly. This tour will give you a complete peace of mind. The river is very calm, has different variety of birds, & the most important is the Dolphine which we can see during our sailing.

Arriving in Varanasi at the end of the five days of river sailing is something exceptional & memorable. The city has three names & reputed for mystery, myth, religion, death & life again. According to Hindu belief if a Hindu dies here they will straightaway go to Paradise.  So we’ll find people spending the last part of their life seeking Nirvana. Varanasi is also one of the world’s oldest cities, which was neither abandoned nor destroyed from the day it was founded.
