"Sikkim" Once closed to tourist is gradually opening its access for her admirer. It is an ideal place for nature lovers, bird watchers & trekkers. It shares the 3rd highest peak of the world, "Mt. Kanchendzonga" with Nepal. Today, it is the homeland of three different clans, such as the indigenous Lephcas, Nepalese & Bhutias.

The west Sikkim Trek also known as Kanchandzonga trek is one of the perfect trekking landscapes in India. It starts from dense forest of Rhododendrons 2100m (about 100 varieties), Magnolias, pins, Cedar, cypress, silver fir, chestnuts, & ends up with Juniper scrubs & incenses in Dzongri. Though the view of Kanchandzonga chains is enjoyed from various viewpoints, but the most beautiful view to these mountains is from Dzongri & Gochila 4800m. In this trek, you will hear nothing but the whistle of the wind, soothing sound of brooks flowing down the hills, song of birds in different tunes, shrilling crickets & sometimes, the whistling “Lepchas or Tibetan yak herder”. You will also come across a small settlement of Tibetan refugees in “Tshoka” who arrived here from Tibet. Yuksom the starting point of this trek was the first capital of Sikkim. Though today, it is only an old sikkimish village, but has still retained the oldest monastery of Sikkim & the stone throne where the first chogyal or King was crowned. Pelling is another place to visit where you will discover one of the most beautiful monasteries of Sikkim & the view of Kanchandzonga from here is closest than any other places in this region. Apart from the trek you will also enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Darjeeling & Sikkim.
